LOS ANGELES (LALATE) – Colombia vs. Bolivia 2011 Copa America action en vivo Sunday will feature Marcelo Martins fighting to keep his country alive. Colombia vs Bolivia 2011 is the final chance for the Group A slotted Bolivia. If Martins allows his team to lose, they will be eliminated from this Copa. Moreover, if Colombia does win, it will become the first team in this Copa America 2011 to advance to the quarterfinals. While Group C remains a narrow field of competitors, after today’s matches, Group B and Group C are slowly slotting certain countries into their final positions for possible quarter final advancement.  In advance of Sunday’s action, Group A features Colombia in first position with four points, Bolivia in last place with one point. A win by Colombia Sunday will advance the team to the quarterfinals. In fact, so long as Colombia doesn’t lose to Bolivia by two goals Sunday, it will advance.  Bolivia tied in its opener against Argentina but lost by two goals against the very impressive Costa Ricans. Colombia won against the Costa Ricans and then got a scoreless draw against Argentina.  On Saturday, Venezuela vs. Ecuador 2011 ended in a 1-0 score after a sixty-one minute goal by Gonzalez. But the exciting game was earlier, Brazil vs. Paraguay 2011; that game ended in a final score of 2-2. Brazil’s goals were achieved by Jadson and Fred; Paraguay scored with Santa Cruz and Haedo Valdez. As a result, currently in Group B Venezuela is ranked first with four points, Paraguay and Brazil tied with two, and Ecuador has one point.  Group C is the surprise this weekend. Chile and Peru are likely to advance with both four points. Mexico is on the brink of elimination with no points, Uruguay with two points.  On Sunday, Bolivia must win. But if Bolivia beats Colombia by two goals or more (an unlikely outcome), it will automatically advance to the quarterfinals. Ironically, despite Bolivia coming into Sunday’s match three points behind Colombia, one factor is clearly making news. Each team has only scored one goal this Copa. Bolivia has only earned one goal (during its Copa opener from Rojas); Colombia did the same (during its opener from Ramos).  With a start time of 3 pm EST Sunday (TeleFutura), Edivaldo Rojas and Adrián Ramos have to improve their game. Ramos has only had two international goals in his career, Rojas only one. It is Marcelo Martins, however, that brings that experience to the Bolivian team. At age twenty-four, Martins has delivered less caps than his team members. But at eight career goals, he is the team’s scoring leader. Joselito Vaca and Ronald Raldes have the most caps for Bolivia, forty-five and fifty-seven respectively.  Colombia’s team leading scorer is Hugo Rodallega. With thirty-nine caps, the Wigan Athletic star has had eight goals. But at eighty caps, Mario Yepes, the AC Milan star, at age 35 is by far the Colombia’s most experienced player. Is it enough to win this Sunday?
